Emma draws from a number of evidence-based therapeutic models to understand the particular needs of each situation and tailor an effective approach to creating positive and stable change. Emma is experienced in working with a wide range of challenges facing individuals, including depression, anxiety, trauma, relational issues, and addiction. In all cases, Emma blends her knowledge of psychological processes with a focus on understanding each individual’s context and meeting their identified needs.
Emma understands the unique difficulties of each client and strives to help individuals build a higher level of insight into themselves and to develop their resilience and coping skills in order to make effective and sustainable changes. In discovering the areas of concerns each client brings to therapy, Emma draws upon several evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness and Solution-focused Therapy which are selected on the client’s specific needs.
